PUBLIC INVITED TO HAVEN/JHS BOOKSTORE EVENT SAT, MAY 11TH IN FOLEY

On Saturday, May 11th, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., The Haven for Animals, from Fairhope, and the JHS Bookstore in Foley invite the public to the Second Annual Haven – JHS Bookstore Celebration at the bookstore.

The Haven’s mobile adoption unit will have wonderful dogs available for adoption. Each will walk the red carpet, to be introduced. This is the perfect chance for Foley-area residents to adopt a new “furever” friend from the award-winning shelter. The bookstore is owned by Mr. John Soderberg.

The event is in honor of Dr. Diane Camilleri, who was a fine veterinarian, veterinary professor, and Mr. Soderberg’s wife. Mr. Soderberg established the Dr. Diane Camilleri Rescue Fund for The Haven, in her honor. Of the occasion, Mr. Soderberg said, “It’s something that I’m doing to commemorate my late wife, Dr. Diane Camilleri and her devotion to animals”. The bookstore, which includes books, collectibles and many other interesting things, will be open.

Free refreshments, door prizes, and activities for kids will be included, so it’s a great event for the whole family. The JHS bookstore is located at 14965A State Road 59, 2 1⁄2 miles north of the highway 98 and AL- 59 intersection, on the west side of the road, in a tan building. Look for the Pet Adoption signs along the highway.
