Local nonprofit and no-kill animal shelter The Haven will host an estate planning seminar on Friday, July 25 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Country Place Senior Living, 8127 Gayfer Road Ext. in Fairhope. This seminar, entitled “Sensible Solutions for Modern Estate and Care Plans” will cover important facts such as how we can qualify for more money now, what happens if we get ill, and necessary documents for estate and care plan “wellness”. “Modern medicine is terrific but modern planning is not keeping pace,” states elder law attorney Kyla Kelim. “The key to a brighter future is to put together a plan early, take charge, and you will be in a much better position if a health care crisis occurs.” Mrs. Kelim, a national speaker and local attorney, practices elder law in Alabama and Florida and will help you plan properly, find more benefits, and bring you common sense solutions as you plan for your future and protect those you care about the most. As in previous seminars, this one will also touch on how your pets can be included in your estate planning.
The seminar is free and a light lunch will be offered by Mary Ann’s Deli and Catering to those who attend, while Country Place will provide coffee and dessert. “As a new member of the Fairhope community,” says Administrator Cecile Godfrey, “Country Place Senior Living is honored to host this educational seminar in support of The Haven, and pets and seniors everywhere.” RSVP is encouraged by calling The Haven at 251-929-2494. Seating is limited and is available on a first come first serve basis. Since it can be difficult to react to a crisis, this seminar can help you set yourself and your family up for success.
