Fall days are finally here and The Haven No-Kill Animal Shelter has lots of cuddly dogs and cats that are ready to snuggle with their new owners. To help celebrate October which is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, The Haven will be showcasing man’s best friend at two adoption events during the month. On Saturday, October 4 from 11am to 3pm, The Haven will be at Pet Supermarket (next to Publix) in Daphne. Then, the following Saturday, October 11 from 11am to 3pm, The Haven will be at their usual 2ndSaturday of the month location of PetSmart in the Eastern Shore Shopping Plaza. Potential adopters will be able to see many wonderful dogs and cats that have been pulled from shelters in Baldwin County to help with overcrowding. “We are committed to helping create a no-kill community and consistently hit the highway with our shelter on wheels. Operating a shelter 365 days a year allows us endless opportunities for our team to role up our sleeves and do what is needed to help these special pets,” stated Michael Graham Executive Director for the nonprofit.
The Haven’s life-saving team will be onsite to help find that special “cuddler” for that special home and a PetSmart associate will be your personal pet shopper. Every adopter will receive an awesome package to include a coupon booklet from PetSmart valued at over $250.
Is your next best friend waiting for you? The Haven has the best value adoption package in Baldwin County. All adoptable animals are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped. They have been tested for heartworms (treated if positive) and feline AIDS/leukemia and treated for fleas and de-wormed. The adopter also receives the animal’s medical records, a free bag of Science Diet food, a FREE pet training DVD, and FREE thirty days of pet health insurance. Adoption fee for dogs is $90 and for cats is $65.
