The Haven needs Stuff!
One of the venues for The Haven to generate money is through their unique Resale Shop located at 357 Morphy Avenue in Fairhope. Gently used items such as china, dishware, lamps, jewelry, and other decorative items can be viewed and purchased. Finding a nugget in any resale shop is always the dream for anyone who loves to shop thrifty. Twice a year, the dedicated shop volunteers and manager hold a Yard Sale to further generate money for the animals and perhaps provide a means for people to find that treasure.
The next yard sale is Saturday, April 23 from 8a-1p and the shop can really use some good donations.
Because the Resale Shop is small, there are certain types of stuff that they cannot accept: clothing, large items such as refrigerators, and electronics, such as TVs, computers and printers. However, Heather Delker, our ReSale Shop manager, strongly suggests that if one is not sure, to call the Shop at 929-1911. The volunteers pride themselves on the quality of products they offer to the public. Giving up your unwanted or unused stuff can be a win-win for both sides. The giver gets a cleaned out house and the Haven gets much needed revenue.
