Exam week for students can be a very tense and stressful time. We all have heard about the studies on stress and the harm it places on our immune system. So what can be done to help students reduce their stress and score an A+?

Cindy Fredrick, Upper School Counselor at Bayside Academy, came up with an idea to help her students reduce their stress by bringing some pet-friendly 4-legged furry critters to the campus for some pet therapy. She contacted The Haven and the no-kill group was thrilled to be able to bring some of their adoptables to Bayside.

On Monday, the no-kill group set up their tables, hand-sanitizers, and x-pens. Dogs were placed in the open areas and students quicking came over to spend time with the dogs. Kittens were in a separate area and soaked up all of the attention. The event was a success and the students requested The Haven return next year.
