Everyday a cat or dog that has called The Haven "home" finds a new loving and caring companion. The Haven staff and volunteers are committed to ensuring that the adoption is a good match for the family and their new furry friend.

Howl'o'ween Photos
A great time was had by all at the 2nd annual Howl'o'ween Pet Costume Contest at Robertsdale Library on October 30, 2007. In addition to the costume contest, there was a silent auction, pet bowtique, bake sale, paw reader, and much more. Many thanks to Cynthia Nall, the Director of the Robertsdale Library and an enthusiastic Haven Board member, for putting the event together. Almost $800 has been raised from this event. Mystic Mutts of Revelry Parade
Although the weather didn't cooperate on January 26, 2008 when the Mystic Mutts were preparing to parade, it didn't dampen the spirits of those who did show up. While everyone huddled under the large tent provided by Miller's Grand Events, the pet costume contest proceeded, pictures were taken, and lots of fun was had by all. When the parade rolled, the rain stopped, over 100 animals and their 2-legged friends began the parade around Fairhope town. And, when everything finished, the Haven generated more money than we every did for this event. Let the good dogs roll!!!!

Fastime Gas, June 23-24
Fastime Gas at on Hwy 98 in Daphne allowed the Haven to use it's property for our adoption event. It was successful with nearly a dozen animals being adopted over the 2 day event. Click on the photo to read the story.

Volunteer Recognition Reception, February 2008
On February 7, 2008, the Haven held it's annual Volunteer Recognition Reception, together with the announcement of the winners of the Pet Photo Contest. The Eastern Shore Art Center once again allowed us to use their facilities. The food was tremendous, the company was great and everyone had a great time.

The Haven's Christmas Float 2008

Savin' for The Haven
July 7 saw downtown Fairhope, AL participating in the "Savin' for the Haven" adoption and fundraiser for the Haven. For several years, the Terra Potta store held a birthday bash for their resident cat, Fern, who was adopted from the Haven. People made donations of supplies and money to be given to the Haven. However, Fern and her devoted servants moved to Maine earlier this year. Nevertheless, the tradition continued. Some of the downtown merchants had donation jars, held raffles, or gave a percentage of sales to the Haven. Fern even returned for the day! It was hot, but the volunteers had fun celebrating the event, getting several kittens adopted, and raising money for the Haven. Click on the photo to read the story
